★★☆☆☆ – Meh!
As the enigmatic Hitman, use stealth and tactical problem solving to enter, execute and exit your missions with minimum attention and maximum effectiveness.
Platforms: PC
Playtime: 11-14 Hours
Genre: Stealth/Action
Hitman teases some wonderful ideas and potentially exciting gameplay buts destroys all this with some really clunky controls and mechanics. The game refuses to offer any guidance through its missions making this a seriously frustrating experience and to add insult to injury, you can’t save during a mission.
The graphics and voice acting also leaves a lot to be desired. Some tweaking will be required to run on newer machines and would be best played in its native max resolution as any higher resolution results in UI that doesn’t scale with the screen. The soundtrack is pretty good on the other hand, creating the perfect ambiance for the dark edgy themes of the game.
This title would be best recommended for completionists who want to explore the humble beginnings of this franchise, but everyone else should pass and watch a Youtube story recap instead.
